Each year, EATSF holds a number of program, fundraising, and friend-making events. We hope you will find time to join us.
Participant Horse Shows – Twice a year, EATSF riders take part in horse shows that provide them the opportunity to show off their horsemanship skills to friends, family and the community. See calendar for details.
Special Olympics Equestrian Games – EATSF serves as the host site for the Broward County Equestrian Games. Riders are judged based on their equitation and in a trail course. Participants in the Therapeutic Riding program are eligible to take part in the competition that is held in January.
Horseshoe Hoedown – The Horseshow Hoedown is our signature fundraising event held annually in November, supporting EATSF programs. This event is held in the Vegso Family Arena on the EATSF campus and features live music, gourmet buffet, silent and live auctions, and a demonstration of riding skills from some EATSF participants.
A Day at the Races – If you enjoy horse racing, you’ll enjoy this event. A Day at the Races is a fundraising event held late Winter of early Spring at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale. Attendees can watch an afternoon of racing and dine on a delicious gourmet buffet brunch all from the comfort of the Ten Palms Room.
Awareness Events - Carrots & Coffee and Ponies & Pints are social events that serve as an introduction to EATSF and the benefits derived from equine assisted activities and therapy. These events are conveniently held in the morning or evening and provide information on our history, programs, and horses, while offering a chance to see a Therapeutic Riding class in action.
